Ka-Bar’s FIN fixed blade knives are designed with toughness in mind. First, the blade is made from D2 tool steel which is known for its high wear resistance, maximum toughness, and excellent edge retention. Plus, the FIN knives have a full tang construction. The handle, made from GFN-PA66, has a scaled texture and index divots that are designed to fit comfortably in the hand while giving it excellent control. To add to the control of the blade, Ka-Bar added jimping to the back of the blade that is designed to give the thumb better control under high pressure cutting. Added to the butt of the knife is a bonecrusher pommel. Each knife comes with a hard plastic sheath and is available with a tanto or drop point blade that comes with a plain or serrated edge.
