The RAT-3 is available with two different types of steel, D2 Tool Steel or 1095 Carbon Steel. D2 Tool Steel is a high carbon steel that is very tough, has a high surface hardness, and holds a good edge. Because of the high wear of the steel, the blade can take a beating. The D2 model comes with a gray powder coated finish blade with .125” thickness and a full tang. The handle is made from black linen micarta.

Each RAT-3 knife comes with a black molded sheath with a boot clip. It can also be adapted to fit with commonly used military and law enforcement rigs.
