The X-Ray 18 features the SAS – Slide Auto Safety™. The SAS is one of the most innovative switch blade knife improvements ever! Most other safety designs require two separate functions to open the knife, if the safety is engaged as it should be!

The SAS combines the safety and opening button into one mechanism. The blade opening, closing and safety operation require only one fluid motion. The SAS prevents the blade from accidentally opening or closing.
